Docman is
the most recognised 'practice specific' Document
Management System in Primary Care. Docman enables a practice to manage its paper and electronic documents in a secure environment, with controlled access from your clinical system. Documents are stored and tagged with criteria such as description, hospital, departments, consultant and keywords. Each may be secured using passwords and user security and further categorised into document folders. |

Patient are accessed directly from within your clinical system and you can even write read coded entries back to a patient record. Docman enables instant access to up-to-date results documents, even if they are in a Doctors' in-tray, ensuring that information can be passed back to the patient as soon as its received in the practice.
Docman saves practice staff time and makes the process of handling documents more efficient leading to an improved service for your patients.
The latest version of Docman is enterprise aware which means that it can run along side centrally hosted clinical systems supporting both thin & thick client interfaces. It also supports EDT (electronic document transfer) which means documents that are sent electronically by your hospital trust can be filed directly in Docman with the minimum of effort (see EDT page for further details)
Summarisation is a key issue for many practices because of the nGMS contract. Intellisense helps practices maximise QOF points by accurately detecting diagnosis read codes in document text and filing them directly to the patient clinical record.
