Docman Version 7
Product Features
The
latest version of Docman has been re-designed
as a fully fledged enterprise system, supporting implementations
from a single partner practice to multi site and those hosted on centrally managed
data centre systems.
Version 7
We have worked closely with the major
clinical suppliers, Hospitals Trusts and NHS Scotland to ensure
Docman meets the changing IT demands in the UK, including
'Connecting for Health' for the foreseeable future. Docman 7
supports multi site operation and will also operate in a health
centre environment shared by several practices which machines are
shared - including shared remote scanners.
A vast array of new product features and enhancements have been
added to the system many of which have been requested through our
user base. It is available as an upgrade to existing Docman
and ScanAgent Workflow users.
In addition to a host of new features (see list below), Docman 7
introduces two new important concepts, Intelligent Filing and
summarisation in the form of
Intellisense; and Electronic Document Transfer in a module
called
EDT. Both modules are
add-on's to the standard product at additional cost.
Docman 7 is accredited by all the major suppliers, many of which
have an API (application programming interface) which allows
controlled and secure integration between Docman and your clinical
system. For further information on compatibility, please see
the chart on the main
Docman
information page.
Intellisense
Intellisense uses an accurate recognition algorithm in order to
detect patient and letter type information from a source document.
In addition, it can extract diagnosis read codes in the text and
file them directly to your clinical system.
Electronic
Document Transfer (EDT)
EDT automates the collection of letters sent
electronically from Hospital Trusts and puts
them directly into Docman ready for workflow-ing
and filing into the clinical record. Not
only is scanning time saved, most EDT
implementation include patient and document
information saving the user having to match the
document with the correct patient and typing
document descriptions.
