Intellisense
The aim of this course is to provide a firm understanding of how to operate your Intellisense System. The course will cover mainly scanning / filing and summarising tasks.

Who should attend?
This is a beginners course for Admin staff who carry out scanning and/or filing. There is also a read coding section for your Summarising staff and/or Clinicians.
Whilst this is a beginners course, delegates need to have previous experience of Docman.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Scan and file documents efficiently
- Summarise documents correctly without duplicate read coding
- Teach Intellisense to recognise new hospitals and departments etc.
Course Details
The course will be hands on with delegates having access to a computer or sharing with another staff member. Maximum 6 delegates per course unless the practice have a projector and suitable room. This course is also available as a refresher course or carried out at the branch surgery.

Course Content
Intellisense Filing
This
session will cover the scanning and filing of your daily post. The staff
required for this session are your scanning and filing staff.
Intellisense Maintenance
This
session will cover the maintenance of the Intellisense software. This includes ‘teaching’ the software to
recognise new hospitals and other keywords.
Intellisense Summarising
This
session will cover the read coding functionality within Docman when using
Intellisense. This session should be
attended by the key members of staff
that currently carry out the read coding for your incoming post.
